Syracuse, NY: Parkinson’s Learning Day

Parkinson’s Movement & Learning Day with Karl Sterling Event registration

This past April 30, 2019 we had a great day of education at the first annual Movement & Learning Day at the Holiday Inn in Liverpool, NY. Stay tuned for the next event in early 2020! Below is a description of the workshop.

Exercise is proving to be one of the best ways of managing Parkinson’s disease symptoms.  Karl Sterling, founder of Parkinson’s Global Project, Inc., will present a workshop based on studies that validate how regular exercise and cognitive training can improve gait, balance, stability, strength, mobility, dual-tasking and motor control.

Other topics to be included in the “Learning & Movement Day” are:

  • Neurologist Perspective on Parkinson’s – Dr. J. Antonelle de Marcaida
  • Caregiver Issues – Brenda Schrader
  • Nutrition and Fitness – Jeramy Freeman
