Neuro-rehabilitation specialist, Karl Sterling has spent many years traveling, researching with, and educating neurologists, physical therapists, fitness trainers, people with Parkinson’s, and caregivers all over the world.

While a significant amount of research has been conducted studying benefits of exercise and movement in relation to Parkinson’s disease, much more needs to be done.

Informal research shows significant benefits of specific tools, exercises, and cognitive training techniques for people with Parkinson’s disease. Together with several universities in the USA, the Parkinson’s Global Project ® will fund studies on Naboso textured insoles, RockTape, and other products which have so far proven to be extremely beneficial for realizing immediate improvements in mobility, balance, stability, movement, reduce falls and fall risk, and slow disease progression.

Together, with appropriate medications and dosages, use of optimal tools and exercise techniques and strategies, the quality of life for the person with Parkinson’s is sure to improve. It is a goal of the Parkinson’s Global Project ® to have insurance companies view the positive results from our research, take a proactive approach, and offer coverage of these tools and exercise classes for people with Parkinson’s.

In the fall of 2019, the Parkinson’s Global Project ® will host their first annual 5K/10K walk/run in Baldwinsville, New York.

In February, 2019, in an effort to raise awareness of Parkinson’s and help towards funding of research that is necessary, Karl Sterling will begin an amazing recording project with dear friends and musical heroes, Jimmy Haslip, Jeff Richman, Peter Erskine, Scott Kinsey, and other musical guests. All talent and studio time is donated.

This will be a CD with a powerful message to people with Parkinson’s – “Don’t Give Up!” The intention of this message is to deliver inspiration, education, hope, and help change lives!

Liner notes and spoken word between tracks will include quotes and words solely from people with Parkinson’s as they describe how they are fighting back against the disease.

CD cover art will be the artwork of people with Parkinson’s.

Bottom line – this and future projects have the goal of CHANGING LIVES for people with Parkinson’s and helping them to live a full and active life.
